After Reading Activity

Watch the video and think about the following statments, respond to them after watching the video and turn them into me:

• Was it easier to follow the structure of Amy Tan's novel by through reading the book or watching a clip of the movie?

• While reading the novel, did you blame the mother the barriers that were made? Or did you blame the daughters for not understanding?

• Were the themes clearly expressed in the novel and were you able to find them in each mother/daughter pairs' story?
